Tip #570: Making Long-Distance Love Work: Get Snowed In

Well, so much for the weekend getaway with TechBoo.  We had to reschedule that due to a forecast of up to 2 feet (yes, feet) of snow here in the DMV area.  But thankfully, my flight arrived before Southwest (the official airline of our relationship) stopped operation in preparation for the impending snow dump.

TechBoo is leaving work early, and until he arrives I’m just going do some writing and enjoy the smell of the wonderful chili he made overnight for us in the crockpot (our latest obsession in both houses–crockpot cooking, not chili).  I sent him to the grocery story last night to get ingredients for a couple of stir-fry dishes I want to make for him.  Yes, I’m breaking out the eggplant, fresh basil, chili paste, peanuts, scallions and fish sauce.  And jasmine rice; gotta have jasmine rice.

We are kid-less, puppy-less, and have no plans other than feeding each other well, going over a few wedding details…and keeping each other warm. ;-)   Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
