O, no!!!!
I’ll admit that I’m adverse to even taking Tylenol, and certainly the link between hormone therapy and cancer raises my eyebrow, so I’m not one to be jumping on the HT bandwagon to begin with. But this just sounds outrageous.

Man, given what age has been doing to me, I would LOVE to find a hormone therapy that does everything Somers promises it will. But science is pretty clear on the risks, and I’m surprised that Oprah would do this.
Society puts us through enought to keep us young and sexy – now we have to risk cancer, too?!

You said it, Margie.
What was it that Suzanne Somers was touting years ago…?
::Googling::
The ThighMaster!
Her search turned up countless products, and HT seems to be the latest…and perhaps the most dangerous.

I can’t really add a lot to this…
Men certainly don’t have to worry much about things like this… not that we are completely relieved of societal constructs; but I’d say most men would rather be men than be women, if given the choice.
BTW, you’re getting blog awards now? Where can a brotha pick himself up one of those?
Congrats! Or as some people say, “Congrads!”

LOL…you have to be nominated for the award. I nominate you for a Certified Tenacious Blogger/Artist Award.
Oh, and Peyton would give you the Best Tickle Monster Award.
I got your email…but a sistah is all over the place. We gotta catch up!!!!

I don’t get it either. My dearest friend of 20 years was just diagnosed with breast cancer, and she’s had a mastectomy and is now into 5 months of chemotherapy, and she’s 39 years old and is headed into possibly early menopause in the next year or so–from possible preventative measures to keep estrogen from fueling any potential future tumors. So this is upsetting. I think Somers is a bit round the bend. Clearly. But I also wonder if we’ll hear more about this from Oprah in the next week or two–more representation from doctors and the medical community.
Deesha–what award? How awesome!

Anna,
So very sorry to hear about your friend. Sigh…
The award is a Certified Honest Blogger Award. It’s not exactly new; I think Tambay just noticed the icon up top there.
