Mail Call: “Return of the Obenson Report Podcast” Edition
This just in from my Brother from Another Mother:
Greetings All!
FYI:
The Obenson Report black cinema podcast is back, thanks to popular demand!
Since placing it on hiatus in February, I’ve been repeatedly asked, often by enthusiastic strangers, whether or not the podcast would return. Also, from time to time, I check the audience stats of previously recorded episodes to surprisingly find that they are all still being downloaded, and in some cases, surpassing download numbers from the days when I was actively hosting the podcast.
Obviously, there’s interest, not only from previous listeners, but it’s also clear that new audiences are finding the recordings and listening to them – all of which I find encouraging.
For example, at a screening of the film “A Good Day To Be Black & Sexy” on Wednesday night, here in New York city, it was great meeting people whom I’ve never previously met, but who apparently were active listeners to my podcast, as each person asked why I stopped producing the show, and whether I planned on starting it back up again, expressing an unabashed delight when I responded stating that I had indeed been thinking about rebooting the podcast.
So, here I am again… a little older and wiser, which I think will reflect in the podcast, airing at its previous time slot, Monday nights from 8PM to 9PM, starting next Monday, the 17th of November.
I’m actually looking forward to it, and didn’t realize how much I missed it; so hope you’ll all join me once again!
Here’s the link to the podcast page where you can listen live: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/obensonreport.
And of course, I’m still on iTunes. Just search for “Obenson Report” within the iTunes store, to listen to every previous episode.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me.
Cheers!
